So much great new music!
Hello friends! it’s Monday once again so that means I’ll be breaking down the BSR director picks for great new music. Top of the list this week: MGMT. They’ve been getting some judgment lately for how different the new jams are, and apparently some people don’t agree with the anti-popularity sentiments they hold. Still, we here at BSR will love MGMT unconditionally, and we are stoked about Congratulations. You can actually stream the entire new record on their website (here). Apparently since it leaked early, they decided to let all of their fans check it out early too, legally. You should take a quick listen and let us know how you feel about it!
We also have to mention the new I Can Make a Mess Like Nobody’s Business record, which comes out tomorrow, but you can buy a day early today with a name-your-own-price kind of deal. Apparently there was a little amazon.com mishap, leading to the record going out early at a low price, so Ace decided to let fans buy the album early for whatever price they thought was appropriate. I dig the idea, and had I not already pre-ordered a physical copy I would probably be picking it up today. He was so nice when he called in to the other week, so check out his new record here. Finally, the directors were discussing the new Gorillaz. If you haven’t seen it yet, the new video with Bruce Willis is kind of amazing. Their new record, Plastic Beach, dropped March 9th with a variety of different packages available. It has thus far hit number 2 on the Billboard 200.
