straylight run, weezer, say anything!!
Hello! Ellen here. I went to see Straylight Run and Dave Melillo on Tuesday in Pittsburgh and the show was fantastic! (It was not so fantastic that my car didn’t start after the show and I rode back to Kent in a tow truck, but whatever haha). It was sooo rad that Will Noon called into BSR on Peeled Bananas on Monday- I listened and it was awesome! Their set was amazing. Dave was also wayy good- I hadn’t seen him play solo in a really long time so that was awesome.
I also picked up the new Weezer record on amazonmp3 the other day, and I’m enjoying it. I was so confused by it at first (stuff like the Lil Wayne collaboration) but I think this record is good. I don’t think Weezer could ever put out a record I love more than Pinkerton because that record is just so out there and awesome, but I can still definitely dig this one.
Due to my car’s current condition I haven’t been able to get the new Say Anything yet- I really wanted a hard copy- but I’ve listened to some of it off of myspace and I’m in love! Hate Everyone is such an amazing track. Mara and Me is perfect. I have a feeling SA might have just made their way onto my top records released this year.
